Before the Mandalorian and Grogu blessed us, we had Lone Wolf and Cub! A story about a chief executioner who gets framed for a murder, which ultimately gets his wife killed and forces him to wander through feudal Japan with his infant son. The goals are simple: To survive and get revenge on those who forced this destiny upon him.
If you ask me, now is the best time to get into this series. Not only are you getting blessed with one of the best deluxe editions ever, but you can also enjoy it along the Vagabond Definitive Edition (also with volume 7 on pre-order right now), which together form the best Samurai duo in manga.

This manga turned me from a nerd who never enjoyed any sport, to a nerd who will never miss out on a boulder-session.
I don’t know if it is the phenomenal art and writing by Shin’ichi Sakamoto or the incredible story that got me so pumped over climbing.
We basically follow along this anti-social dude called Buntaro Mori, who never really enjoyed anything… until a fateful encounter with a classmate forced him to climb. At this moment, a spark was lit that not only makes Buntaro Mori chase ever-bigger risks and heights, but can also only be stopped by death itself.
Volume 7 of the 2-in-1 edition is on pre-order right now and with only 1-2 volumes to go, you can now dive in without having to wait as long for the peak finale (get it?)!

You know a mangaka is legendary, when he takes up two spots within a very curated newsletter!
While climbing is fun, the French Revolution was a bit more dark, but still the perfect ground for Shin’ichi Sakamoto to tell a gripping story about violence, hate and revolution.
The perfect thing about this volume is the fact, that this is the last volume of the 3-in-1 Innocent collection.
So if you now pick up Innocent Vol. 1-3 and Innocent Rouge Vol. 1-2, you will have the full series by the time the final volume drops in October. So, finally get into this peak series!
