Don’t Say We Didn’t Tell You About These #1s Within This Week's Singles FOC! :O
TABLE OF CONTENTS

Don’t you love when a new single issue hits

… and everybody seems to leave our lonely caves because we simply MUST talk about it!

Yeah, I think Tate Brombal’s New Titans #33 is that.

Let’s be honest, Titans have been in a kind of slump. Not a bad slump! Like a casual cozy slump (like that one pudding you always buy).

It was fine but it wasn’t matching DC's big moment right now. Characters were getting repetitive and stuck in old patterns.

So Tate transferred these problems to the narrative itself and made them question it too. Not revolutionary but a very needed statement and I’m very excited where this is going. I think we are onto a brighter future for the title.

So get on to our store and get a copy before the word spreads.
(Or hope for a reprint!)

While we wait, let’s see the other trains we want to hop on.

Fall of the House of Slaughter #1

James Tynion IV’s MASSIVE franchise is expanding once again. And I’m not talking about the future Swamp Thing crossover, the tv show AND movie in development at Blumhouse or even the recently announced PROSE NOVEL (Tynion, please sleep).

I’m talking about this new minisseries finally giving us a much anticipated plotline.

Cecilia Slaughter gets the spotlight while the house questions if it can survive a new dragon.

It will be great working material while I prepare to take over Walt’s Comic Shop one newsletter at a time. (Kidding, I don’t have the stamina).
This is not a jump-in point but I’ll say it’s a great incentive to pre-order and then swiftly binge the whole main series and spin-offs, even if you are just curious what the fuzz is about. (I promise you, you are gonna get HOOKED)

Ice Cream Man #45

The critic darling is back.

While W. Maxwell Prince ventured into DC lands with the incredible Superman: Kryptonite Spectrum (sure to sweep all the Eisners) and the newly announced Deadman series (sure to sweep all my money), this series was on a hiatus.

Not anymore! We seem to be back to a regular schedule (hopefully, don’t curse it!)

If you don’t know it yet, this is a horror anthology book that can be read independently and it’s nothing short of incredible.

This issue is a homage to Hitchcock’s Rear Window. (This is also how I would describe the creepy guy living across from my building!)

I saw that movie alone in a midnight cinema reshowing on the first day I moved-in alone to another city for college so it holds a dear space in my heart. (Yes, this WAS a good preview of my social life in college!)

Civil War: Unmasked #1

Hey, 'member Marvel’s Civil War?

We are getting new stories in that period of time. So if you are feeling nostalgic and want that good ol’ hit in your veins, I won’t shame you (Just a bit).

What I’ll say is this: the side-stories of Civil War were the truly good parts of Civil War so if we’re revisiting this old trick, this is a fun way to do it.

At least we’re not making sequels again. Right? RIGHT MARVEL?

Civil War Unmasked #1

DC REPRINTS.

Absolute Wonder Woman 2026 Annual #1 and Absolute Batman 2025 Annual #1 are getting reprints.

Here’s my petition to add a Weekly to every title of normal issues. (why? because I think it’s funny).

I think these issues are good tasting menus to these series and very much worth it even if you haven’t fully made the Absolute jump (who are we kidding? you probably did)

New Vertigo’s End of Life #1 is also getting a second printing. Of all the titles released so far, this is the most out-there. I truly don’t know what to expect and that is very much exciting.

And the lead is very much a hot dumb bimbo who WILL ruin your life. Can’t go wrong. (IN FICTION, not in real life ok? wink wink).

I also want to highlight The Man of Steel #1 Facsimile. This classic from John Byrne that redefined Superman forever. If nothing else just to give the universe synergy so we get an Omnibus.

Single Issues FOC

All of our pre-order run until 4pm on Saturday so if you miss that boat DON’T go crying to Heiko.

What you can email Heiko crying about is any doubts you have on Manage Comics or if you just want to ask him what his favorite cake is (This is a special permission I’m giving you for this week only).

See you,
