Walt's Commentary

It's still… Ultimate vs. Absolute, and not much else cracks the Top 10. That said, it’s wild (and kind of awesome) to see such an experimental title like Absolute Martian Manhunter climbing that high. All in all, DC must be very happy with the 2nd wave of Absolute titles — We def. are! :)

The main Batman book, which has never been a huge seller for us, suddenly becomes the best-selling in-continuity title from the Big Two. Turns out all it needed was a few legendary creators—and a sequel.

Daredevil: Cold Day in Hell (aka Old Man Matt) absolutely trounces the ongoing. With art by Steve McNiven this good, who could resist?

And in the X-corner, Magik takes the crown as the most consistent and well-received spin-off—critics and readers agree on this one.

Marvel's been struggling to land big hits outside of Ultimate Wolverine lately. Here’s hoping the House of Ideas finds a little more spark in Q3 2025.
