Lorsque son père propose de la marier, elle et ses sœurs, afin de conclure une alliance avec le Plaid Kingdom, Gwendolyn a le cœur brisé en apprenant que le prince Frederick la trouve « vraiment laide ». Submergée et honteuse, elle s’enfuit dans la forêt et découvre l’univers tordu du Cursed Princess Club, où sa vie ne sera plus jamais la même. Le Cursed Princess Club est une bande hétéroclite de laissées-pour-compte, de marginaux et de princesses maudites qui ont créé un cercle d’amitié extraordinaire. C’est auprès de ces amis que Gwendolyn apprend à accepter sa singularité et à trouver les siens.
