Rudo vit dans les bas-fonds d’une ville flottante, où les pauvres survivent tant bien que mal dans l’ombre des riches, qui mènent une vie fastueuse et se contentent de balancer leurs déchets par-dessus bord, dans l’abîme. Puis, un jour, il est faussement accusé de meurtre, et cette condamnation injuste mène à une punition inimaginable : l’exil par-dessus bord, avec le reste des ordures. À la surface, les déchets rejetés par l’humanité ont donné naissance à de féroces monstres, et si Rudo veut découvrir la vérité et se venger, il devra maîtriser un nouveau pouvoir et rejoindre un groupe appelé « The Cleaners », qui combat les gigantesques bêtes d’ordures du Pit !
