Elena, Naoto et la petite sœur d’Aiko, Hanabi, sont déterminés à mener le combat jusqu’au bout et à sauver le monde en détruisant l’effrayante entité qui a pris l’apparence de Honoka. La situation semble désespérée, mais le monde disparaîtra qu’ils fuient ou qu’ils trouvent la mort au combat, alors ils n’ont plus rien à perdre. Honoka a autrefois été leur amie, et même si la créature qui porte son visage peut difficilement être qualifiée d’humaine, aucun d’eux n’est encore humain non plus. La seule question, c’est de savoir quel monstre sera encore debout quand la poussière retombera.
