The team of Christopher Priest and Ergun Gunduz returns as "The Long Night" begins! Vampirella's infant son, stolen by her evil twin Draculina, has finally been returned to her. But Vampi does not know the baby, has not bonded with him and, lost and alone, begins spiraling into postpartum depression. A mysterious figure named Cicero arrives, claiming to be Vampirella's infant son somehow transported 40+ years back from a dark future wherein Vampirella, consumed by bitterness, has become The Witch of Ashthorne, a ruthless matriarch responsible for a nuclear holocaust. Having finally rescued her baby from Draculina, Cicero begs Vampirella, for his sake and the sake of the world, to give the infant back.
L’équipe formée par Christopher Priest et Ergun Gunduz est de retour avec le début de « The Long Night » ! Son fils, encore bébé, que Draculina, sa jumelle maléfique, avait kidnappé, a enfin été rendu à Vampirella. Mais Vampi ne connaît pas cet enfant, n’a pas créé de lien avec lui et, perdue et seule, sombre peu à peu dans une dépression post-partum. Un mystérieux homme nommé Cicero arrive alors et affirme être le fils de Vampirella, propulsé 40+ ans en arrière depuis un futur sombre où Vampirella, rongée par l’amertume, est devenue The Witch of Ashthorne, une matriarche impitoyable responsable d’un holocauste nucléaire. Après avoir enfin sauvé son bébé des griffes de Draculina, Cicero supplie Vampirella, pour lui comme pour le monde, de rendre à nouveau le nourrisson.
