Malgré tout, je n’arrive tout simplement pas à aimer ce monde. Eris Miserian connaît le destin qui l’attend : après avoir perdu son fiancé, le prince héritier, au profit de Helena, la fille d’un comte déchu, Eris empoisonne sa rivale par vengeance. Mais une fois son plan déjoué, elle est condamnée à mort, tandis que Helena et le prince peuvent vivre heureux pour toujours. Du moins, c’est ce qui se passe dans le roman que lisait Eris dans sa vie passée avant de se réveiller dans ce monde. Maintenant, désespérée de retourner dans son propre univers, elle fera tout ce qu’elle peut pour échapper au destin que l’histoire a tracé pour elle et trouver le moyen de revenir à sa vraie vie !
