Teresa's life has always been a comfortable straight line, with
every goal set for herself achieved right on schedule. It comes as

La vie de Teresa a toujours suivi une ligne droite confortable, où
chaque objectif qu’elle s’était fixé a été atteint exactement au bon moment. Il n’est donc
guère surprenant qu’elle décroche une prestigieuse bourse pour aider à
monter une exposition à Berlin célébrant la découverte de la tombe de Toutânkhamon
par Howard Carter en 1922. Ruben est un autre jeune
Italien qui n’a jamais terminé ses études d’art et voit Berlin
comme son terrain de jeu personnel. Quand Teresa et Ruben se rencontrent, le destin
va changer à jamais le cours de leur existence.
Hypericum suit en parallèle la découverte historique de Carter dans l’Égypte
des années 1920, ainsi que l’histoire d’amour passionnée mais tourmentée de Teresa et Ruben,
dans le Berlin des années 1990. Entre l’Égypte et Berlin,
les deux époques se confrontent et s’entrelacent dans un récit qui a en son
centre l’hypericum, ou millepertuis, une plante aux propriétés
inhabituelles....
