Yaotome est la présidente du club de shogi de son lycée, et elle est presque sûre qu’Ayumu, un élève plus jeune et l’unique autre membre du club, a un énorme crush sur elle. Ils se retrouvent tous les jours après les cours pour jouer au shogi, mais quoi qu’elle fasse, elle n’arrive pas à lui faire avouer ses sentiments ! Ce qu’elle ignore, c’est qu’Ayumu s’est fait une promesse : ne révéler son amour qu’après l’avoir battue au shogi pour la première fois.
