Schlimmer könnte es für Fire und Ice wirklich nicht laufen – zumindest nach Beatriz da Costas professioneller Einschätzung. Superman hat die ehemaligen Justice Leaguer nach einer extrem öffentlichen und völlig katastrophalen Mission nach Smallville abgeschoben (wofür natürlich komplett Guy Gardner verantwortlich war, vielen Dank auch) – und sie damit zu einem Schicksal verdammt, das schlimmer ist als der Tod: Bedeutungslosigkeit. Ice fühlt sich vom ruhigen Leben angezogen und träumt davon, Wurzeln zu schlagen. Aber Fire ... na ja, Fire würde so gut wie alles tun, um endlich aus diesem Kaff rauszukommen und wieder im Helden-Business mitzumischen – sogar die größten Schurken des DCU zu einer handfesten, live gestreamten Prügelei mitten auf den Straßen von Smallville herauszufordern!
