Tomb Raider Colossal Collection Volume 3 HC

I remain astonished by the success you gamers have had with this line.
I finally finished the first one, and it was quite a fun ride.
I’m very excited for this third and final (?) one because it features two of my favorite writers ever.
(I WROTE ABOUT THEM!!)

Gail Simone, troll specialist, is very much perfect for Lara Croft. Think of her Domino run or the incredible work on Birds of Prey, and you’ll know why I’m hyped.

And Mariko Tamaki, whom I would describe as the master decipherer of appearance vs. intent. She writes with flair and honesty. I cannot wait to see what she’s done with this iconic figure.

Also, did you see we got our first look at Sophie Turner as Lara in the new Amazon show?

I honestly don’t understand what some people’s problem is (DO NOT DM me about this). She looks dope.

Punisher & Fury MAX by Garth Ennis Omnibus

Marvel’s release of the week is this amalgamation of recent miniseries from the MAX imprint.
Marvel’s adult line, or, how I describe it to non-readers: the “grr I’m a man in the 2000s, I might shoot you and I won’t cry” imprint.

Jokes aside, very fun throwback minis are being collected here.
Including the very recent 2024’s Get Fury. Love when things make their way to oversized format this quickly.

You will have to choose between two very cool covers.
Boys in the jungle getting messy, or a badass target thingy that I never get tired of.
I just can’t decide.

ALSO, DID YOU KNOW there’s a Nick Fury: Agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. (1998) movie with David Hasselhoff?
