Marvel Omnibus Collections

The Marvel Omnibus format is a series of oversized, high quality, full color hardcover collections published by Marvel Comics. A Marvel Omnibus typically reprints classic comic series that were previously released in single-issue format. The Omnibus Editions mostly contain complete runs, either by collecting multiple consecutive issues from a popular era or by focusing on the works of a particular creator. 

For several years, a scene has formed around the Omnibus format, where comic fans, experts and collectors discuss content and speculate about future releases. At its center is Omar Vadivieso's youtube channel Near Mint Condition.

The addition of variant covers available only in comic stores, as well as a growing popularity among comic fans, have made the already expensive books sought-after collectibles in recent years. Although Marvel has begun reprinting many out-of-print (OOP) omnibus collections from the past decade, the immense size of the program (there are well over 300 volumes) makes it impossible to keep all or even a majority of them in print.
