Paris, 1950s. In this graphic novel adaptation, Nestor Burma's past comes knocking when Bélita, a young woman, leads him to the Salpêtrière hospital, where he discovers the recently deceased Abel Benoît, an old buddy from his anarchist days. While Burma has chosen to move onto the (more or less) straight and narrow as a private eye, his friend had stayed on the other side of the law as a counterfeiter and worse, until his own past caught up with him ? lethally. So now it's up to Malet to avenge his friend, and hopefully unravel a mystery whose roots run far and deep back into the past...
Paris, années 1950. Dans cette adaptation en roman graphique, le passé de Nestor Burma refait surface quand Bélita, une jeune femme, le conduit à l’hôpital de la Salpêtrière, où il découvre Abel Benoît, récemment décédé, un vieil ami de ses années anarchistes. Alors que Burma a choisi de rentrer plus ou moins dans le rang en devenant détective privé, son ami était resté de l’autre côté de la loi comme faussaire, et pire encore, jusqu’à ce que son propre passé le rattrape ? mortellement. C’est donc à Malet de venger son ami, et, avec un peu de chance, de percer un mystère dont les racines plongent loin, très loin dans le passé...
