🌳 Mushishi Collector's Edition 2 HC 🌳
Similar to last week, we have another beautiful edition for one of my favorite manga ever: Mushishi coming with its second volume of the collectors edition!
I love myself some cozy reads that I can take into nature, which help me let my soul rest for a second...
While other manga like Hirayasumi do that through facing everday scenarios with a relaxed attitude, Mushishi goes a more spiritual way.
Ginko, the protagonist, is someone who travels the world and helps people with different problems. Most of the time, these problems stem from people not treating nature or themselves well, which results in mushi – invisible beings – latching onto them and making them suffer.
However, mushi are not evil beings… they are simply other life forms, who sometimes just want to survive, represent the sins of people or are even trying to help.
This enables Mushishi to tell deeply personal and healing stories, through this anthological storytelling... I think that everyone will be able to resonate with a few stories and take healing from them.
On top of that, the art and the vibe this story gives off is so beautiful, which makes you want to read it in the middle of a forest to really be immersed in it.
And now that the sun is starting to come out again in some parts of the world, you really need something to reconnect with nature after this long winter - so why not pre-order it right now? :P
This way, you are not only saving good money - which you can then spend on an ice-cream to enjoy with it - but you can also be sure to get it, once spring really starts to chime in! :D
💵 Trillion Game Vol. 10 💵
I am not a big fan of economics or financial topics… What I do like is when someone chases their dreams to the max! :D
Trillion Game delivers just that with two charming characters that couldn’t be more different from another but with one common goal: Making a trillion yen (or 6 billion dollars)!
There is no real plan… just their goal and their skills as a sweet talker and a really good programmer. A duo that could make it – if playing their cards right :P
If you are someone who loves underdog stories or facing difficult odds within rather realistic settings accompanied by beautiful and nostalgic art – then this one is for you! 👀
And right now is the perfect time to get into this story!
Volume 11 will be the last volume of this series, which means you can get all 9 previous volumes right now and then save some money for the last two.
And who knows, maybe the money you saved on these volumes will be the reason you become a trillionaire… (even if not, saving money is always nice)! 😎
🐍 After God Vol. 9 🐍
For the last couple of years, I really got more into horror and mystery – especially those that will weird you out, because they are just so difficult to comprehend and leave the horror in the gaps that you have to fill with your wildest imaginations…
After God is something that I would put into this category with its monsters that cannot be recorded and once seen by the human eye will make you die for them… Goosebumps!
At the beginning, it was the cover of volume 1 that really dragged me in. It tries to tell you something, but you just cannot really grasp what… Additionally, is so artistic and immediately tells you: “Yes, this mangaka really takes their art serious!”
So, if you want to discover a new mystery involving incomprehensible beings and amazing characters (with unique designs), then this one is something for you! 👀
Just… do not stare at the pages too long… you may get dragged in! :P
