Guess what?
This is exactly what we’ll do when Matheus walks into work and catches us packing the Death of Superman Absolute Edition HC for other people who actually preordered.

And with that, the “make fun of Matheus for telling everyone to preorder while not preordering himself” season is officially over.
The year is only 42 days old, and you might already be thinking: I have neither the money nor the time for comics anymore.
Let me leave you with a quote by Fran Lebowitz:
"[…] This may be the reason I never cared about money. Because as soon as you can read, you are incredibly rich. So rich that, if you read all the time, you wouldn't have time to think about money."
Dear readers, by this definition, we’re all INCREDIBLY rich.
Daredevil By Nocenti & Romita Jr. Omnibus Vol. 2
Every FOC with a Daredevil Omnibus is 😙🤌.
And I had a hard time concentrating on this newsletter, because two questions would not leave my mind:
- Why do Daredevil Omnis go OOP? Shouldn’t they be kept in print? Or does Marvel want us to do a La Casa de Daredevil takeover?
- Why does my boss have a crush on Typhoid Mary?
Some people I know have been hoping, begging, and probably striking deals with any devils available, just to see this Omni finally exist (hi Jelle).
I don’t know how many of you have actually made a deal with the devil, but hey, it worked: the Omnibus is real, and the Daredevil by Nocenti & Romita Jr. Omnibus Vol. 2 is only a few months away!
In his Daredevil reading order, Petar said Nocenti’s run goes for the throat with topics like alcoholism, feminism, and animal rights, among others, without ever forgetting to be loud, experimental, and dramatic in the best way.
And yes, this part of the Omni also has the three things that almost magically always work in a Daredevil story: the Kingpin, Hell, and Typhoid Mary.
Nightwing: A Knight In Blüdhaven Compendium Three
Blink once and OH WOW! There are THREE Nightwing compendiums already out now!

I really love Nightwing covers because they’re peak Dick: always ready to jump into action, always getting pulled in ten directions, and still landing every perfectly choreographed move.
The third compendium in the series collects a huge stretch of Nightwing’s solo run plus the major tie-ins, so you get the full picture: team-ups with Batman, Oracle, The Flash, Birds of Prey, and big events like Joker’s Last Laugh and Our Worlds at War.
Plus, you get a whole lineup of writers in here, including Ed Brubaker!
My guess: one more compendium and we’ll finally arrive at that beloved moment when Peter Tomasi takes over Nightwing. Let’s goooo!
Universal Monsters: The Invisible Man
Me? I’m not someone you can convince to watch horror or supernatural stuff. I believe way too much in juju and voodoo for that.
But then, in June 2023, I started working at Walt’s. And week after week, I watched people buy so many James Tynion IV books that I finally gave in.
Fast-forward to February 2026: I now sleep with the SIKTC #1 Archive Edition, signed by none other than James Tynion IV, under my pillow to protect me from all the madness and bad juju in this world.
My heart is still too weak for horror movies, but the Universal Monsters line is the perfect replacement for the faint of heart like me.
From what I understand, these are reimaginings of classic silver-screen monsters for a modern audience. It’s not so much about retelling the original as it is about digging into the more human, emotional side (don’t come at me, I haven’t watched the movies).
After Dracula, Frankenstein, The Mummy, and Creature from the Black Lagoon Lives, comes The Invisible Man, based on a story by H.G. Wells (I can only recommend Gou Tanabe’s manga adaptations!).
The Invisible Man is the fifth series in the line, and the second one written by James Tynion IV, with an incredible art team: Brad Simpson and DaNi (who’s also set to draw the upcoming Batwoman run!).
All Books on FOC…

And oh my… are those not the books you've been contemplating this whole week?
See you,
Gloriana
