5 Highlights from this Week's FOC
WHAT SHOULD YOU NOT MISS THIS WEEK?
The year is almost over!
Everything is slowing down, but we here at Waltâs are still very much all in the action
(Says the guy eating ice cream and writing about Spider-Man while my colleagues in Berlin are probably packing Black Friday orders all day, all night.)
Wow, that was A LOT of orders. Waltâs clients are the best clients ever. You guys are insane!!
If you, like me, over-ordered enough to stock until Christmas 2099, you will be glad to hear thereâs NOT A LOT to talk about this week.
BUUUUUUT
and thatâs a big olâ Peter Parker but(t).
WEâVE GOT THE COOLEST THING EVER UP FOR PRE-ORDER.
Thatâs right, weâre stocking till 2100!!
Amazing Spider-Man By Steve Ditko Artist Edition
Not only can you count on two cover optionsâŠ
THEREâS A THIRD.
Wait, what does it say there?Â

Waltâs Comic Shop Exclusive Cover?????

 OLY HELL, YES!!
Yep. The only place you can get this amazing Octopus cover is here at Waltâs.
ARE WE FANCY OR WHAT???
WHAT IS A MARVEL ARTIST EDITION?
Is it a book? Is it a weapon to fend off people who say comics arenât art?
(It can be two things.)
Imagine you broke into the Marvel offices in the â60s (please donât) and stole the actual art boards before the colorist got their hands on them. Thatâs this book.
This is as close to Ditkoâs original inks as you will get.
This contains the first appearance of the arachnid in Amazing Fantasy #15, and the iconic issues #20, #26, and #33. Plus a lot of other scanned Ditko originals from other issues and covers.
Issue #33 is probably the best Spidey story ever told. Not only is it Ditko at his best, but itâs an issue that succeeds so well in the construction of its heroâin form and in formatâthat it might as well have changed the language definitions of not only âsuperhero,â but of comics itself.
Features this beautiful, timeless moment below.Â

I donât need to run you down on Ditko and how this man probably changed all of our lives. (Well, OK, just a lil bit.)
Iâm a baby, so I cry if I think about how this STILL unsung hero would encompass our dreams on paper, connect with countless souls across time and geography, and instill in all of us a deep, deep love for this art form (and you guys know that to like comics basically means TO LOVE comics).
Want an example of art turning into magic? Give this to someone who loves comics and the twinkle in their eye will be all you need.
You have two cover options, but Waltâs exclusive has only a 99-copy printing run.
So, you know.
GET YOURS!!!

EC Cruel Kingdom TP Vol 01
Talking about loving comics, no better segue.
This EC-genre revival from Oni Press has been a blast.
Here we have a new thing: the first dark-fantasy anthology under the iconic brand.
Christopher Cantwell, Al Ewing, and Chris Condon are just a few of the names in this book. I had tons of fun reading it, and itâs the type of book you kind of wish you could receive at your door daily, like a newspaper.
(Wait, is EC Paper Boy a new idea?)
(Should I pitch this to Walt?)
(Yes, Iâm on a Shark Tank bender.)
Walt, I want $1 million for 2% of my EC Paper Boy company.

WHAT ELSE?
Godzilla Legends--Mothra: Queen Of The Monsters TP
Would Mothra do well on Drag Race? I feel like Michelle would complain about too many colours, but she couldnât knock a single thing about her makeup.
Archie Vs Minor Threats TP
I love random-ass crossovers so much. Can we revive Riverdale so it can adapt this? COME BACK, CWâwe miss you.

Rick And Morty 10th Anniversary Omnibus HC Vol 03
If youâre still in the club of being obsessed with Rick and Morty (hi, Iâm the club), this collection reprints every single story out thereâand thereâs A LOT, man. Seriously, no need to wait 100 years for new seasons.
Check out all other pre-orders here.
(Yes, Iâm eating ice cream in the middle of German winter, but man, everywhere inside here is heated like the fire pits from hell!!)Â
(Plus, Magnum Double Cherry can hang with me every day, all day.)Â
Magnum Double Cherry not available for pre-order.
See you,
Math
