Dear Batman Fans,
It's only the fourth time in the history of comics we get a proper Batman #1, and it's been more than a decade since the last one (hello, Tom King!), so this is kind of big news:
Batman #1 is on sale (and #2 is on FOC)
For once, we actually managed to offer a big book on its official release day... and yep, it basically flies out of the many storage boxes.
And rightly so. Batman #1 delivers. Matt Fraction nails the tone and character work, Jorge Jimenez and Tomeu Morey are operating at “best in the biz??” level, and while issue #1 is strong, the story really kicks into gear with #2. Honestly, we haven’t seen this kind of creative energy on DC’s trinity (and their Absolute counterparts) in a long time. We're STOKED for DC right now!
