Rules for Free Shipping

New Free Shipping Option Starting December 2024!

We’re excited to introduce a permanent free shipping option for most of the EU* and the UK. This applies to in-stock items, pre-orders, and monthly single-issue subscriptions, based on your order total. Here’s everything you need to know:

1. Shipping Destinations

Your order must ship to an address within the EU* or the UK.

2. Order Totals to Qualify for Free Shipping

  • Germany: Orders totaling €75 or more.
  • EU* & UK: Orders totaling €150 or more.

3. *EU Country Exclusions

  • Countries: Free shipping is at the moment not available for Denmark, Malta, and Cyprus. We hope to expand the offer in the future.
  • *Remote Islands: Some remote or high-cost areas are excluded, such as the Balearic Islands or the Channel Islands.
  • Note: If the free shipping option isn’t available at checkout, it unfortunately doesn’t apply to your location.

4. Pre-Orders

  • Only pre-order items announced with the December 2024 catalogs onward qualify for free shipping.
  • If your order includes items from previous months, the free shipping option will not be available. Those products should be ordered separately from the qualifying products.

5. Free Shipping Eligibility

  • Orders must qualify for free shipping at the time of placement.
  • You cannot place an order under the threshold and request a refund later after adding more items to the same order.

6. Product Exclusions

  • Digital products and gift cards do not count toward free shipping.
  • Pre-order items announced before the December 2024 catalogs do not qualify for free shipping.

7. Order Cancellations & Reordering

  • Cancellations of existing orders/pre-orders to requalify for free shipping are not allowed.
  • Splitting old orders to meet the free shipping threshold is not allowed.
  • Only new orders are eligible for free shipping.

Why? Cancellations cost us money—we lose transaction fees in 75% of cases. This policy helps us keep things fair and efficient.

8. Shipping Services

  • We will select the shipping carrier based on the destination:
    • Germany: DPD (no delivery to Deutsche Post Filialen or Packstations).
    • EU: Primarily UPS, with some exceptions using FedEx or DHL.
  • It is not possible to pay a surcharge to switch to another service.

9. Monthly Shipments for Pull-List Subscribers

  • Monthly shipments for single-issue subscribers can qualify if the total (after all discounts) is 75€ or more for Germany, resp. €150 or more for the EU*/UK.

A: We’re sorry! This service excludes certain regions with high shipping costs or unique regulations.

Q: Can I choose a specific carrier or pay extra to upgrade shipping?
A: No, free shipping is designed to be simple. We choose the best carrier for each destination.
