If you’re looking for an easy read that's still substantial, I would strongly recommend The Girl from the Other Side . It stands out thanks to the beautiful artwork of Nagabe, one of my favorite mangaka. This masterpiece blends classic fairy tales with slice-of-life and mystery elements, telling a visual story that relies less on dialogue.
Set in a moody, grim world, you follow Shiva, a young child who encounters Teacher, said to be cursed. You follow their lives as a found family for a while, until Shiva's and Teacher's pasts and secrets slowly unfold. Buckle up to discover every little detail in this layered story, and then read it again to fully comprehend what happened to our main characters.
Something We Forgot for Too Long
