February 2026 Comic Book Sales Chart – What’s Selling Right Now

Which comic books are actually selling right now? This monthly sales chart breaks down the best-selling single-issue comics of February 2026, based on real sales data from Walt’s Comic Shop, (one of?!) Europe’s largest retailers for US comics.

OK, so looking at this month’s chart, we can clearly see that the Absolute line is still dominating the Top 50, with Absolute Batman #17 leading the chart very comfortably. In general, the Absolute books are still bringing in very strong numbers. BUT...

...there is a small caveat.

The peak was definitely last month, and we can also see — both in our website search results and just from a general gut feeling — that the hype is cooling off slightly. Nothing dramatic, nothing to worry about. In fact, I think it’s actually healthy.

Some of the attention seems to be shifting toward Image Comics and indies right now. There are quite a few smaller titles that are suddenly creating aftermarket price spikes on eBay. Interestingly though, we don’t see those books reflected in the sales chart. And that actually makes sense.

This chart is largely driven by pre-orders, while those aftermarket explosions are happening precisely because almost nobody pre-ordered those books. Scarcity drives the speculation. So the question remains whether this is real reader interest or simply pure speculation?

And this, dear readers, is also a big difference compared to the Absolute hype: The Absolute line is the real deal. People buy these books, they read them, they collect them. Yes, there’s excitement around them, but it’s not driven entirely by FOMO, it’s driven by the fact that it’s simply a fantastic line of books.

Another trend we can see emerging is that the gap between Marvel and DC is closing.

Now, “closing” is relative here: DC is still leading the Top 50 by about 30%, which is insane and obviously still a very strong lead. But Marvel has definitely gained some ground.

Their latest launches are doing reasonably well. Punisher #1 came in strong (also a great read if you're into old-school , gritty Frankieboy), and the upcoming Daredevil relaunch (for which we offer bundle pre-orders, and yes, including a blind bag) is also performing very well so far. What’s interesting is that the Marvel characters currently attracting the most interest are street-level heroes. It’s not the Avengers. And definitely not the mutants...

Even the Ultimate line, which has been very successful overall, is now ending solidly but not with a huge bang. Ultimate Endgame #1 was massive, largely because the blind bag program worked extremely well. People really enjoyed it. But Ultimate Endgame #2 is already down at rank #25, which is good — but not exactly explosive.

Some other Marvel launches performed nicely as well. Cyclops #1 did surprisingly well, and Deadpool launched with solid numbers. The new Wolverine miniseries by Chip Zdarsky, Weapons of Armageddon, is also sitting comfortably at rank #27. So overall I’d say Marvel is doing okay.

On the DC side, DC K.O. clearly turned out to be a big hit, with several entries high in the chart, three titles in the Top 12 alone.

We also see the Vertigo relaunch making its first appearance: Bleeding Hearts #1 lands at rank #15, selling a very healthy number of copies, and by the way, it’s also an intriguing first issue worth checking out.

Right behind it we have The Peril of the Brutal Dark #1 at rank #18, the new crime noir series by Chris Condon and Jacob Phillips. Honestly, they’re starting to feel like the new Ed Brubaker and Sean Phillips. And further down at rank #29, we have End of Life #1. So overall, DC can be very happy with how the Vertigo relaunch is starting.

Now I’m very curious to see how the next wave of DC launches (aka "DC Next Level") incl Batwoman, Deathstroke, and Lobo will affect the charts in March.

It should be interesting.

And I have another special treat this month:

To be honest, it might be more accurate to call it the Top 20 Image Chart, because almost every book here comes from Image. Only four titles are from other publishers — and even that’s a bit misleading, because the #1 spot is technically a Marvel book.

I’m talking about Marvel Team-Up #14, the Spider-Man / Invincible crossover, which Image cleverly released just in time for Invincible Season 4 dropping later this month.

If we ignore that Marvel title (or simply rank the chart by revenue instead of units) then the clear winner is Witchblade Annual 2026 #1. And the reason for that is simple: it’s our exclusive variant by Luana Vecchio.

We recently hosted Luana here in Berlin, where she signed a lot of copies for us and for the fans who attended. It was a great evening and a lot of fun. Despite a number of circumstances that made organizing the event more difficult than expected, we ultimately consider it a success. Of course, we would have loved for Sara Pichelli to join as well, and we wish the situation in Berlin had allowed more people to come by.

Still, we’re very happy with how the exclusive experiment turned out, and you can definitely expect more of this soon. Stay tuned: we’ll have another announcement coming up soon! 😎

Chart Explanation

This chart tracks single-issue comic sales at Walt’s Comic Shop for February 2026 (Feb 9–March 8), allowing most pullbox pre-orders to be included.

Variants: All cover variants and printings of the same issue are combined into one entry.

CGC: Only CGC pre-orders are counted. Regular slab sales are excluded.

Baseline: Batman #6 serves as the 100% benchmark. Percentages show revenue relative to that issue.

Ranking: Titles are ranked by units sold. If two titles sell the same number of copies, revenue determines the higher position.
