March 2026 Comic Book Sales Chart – What’s Selling Right Now

Which comic books are actually selling right now? This monthly sales chart breaks down the best-selling single-issue comics of March 2026, based on real sales data from Walt’s Comic Shop, Europe’s premier retailers for US comics.

Commentary by Walt:

This is a very special month. Not only did we have five weeks of releases, but also two invoicing cycles for our pullbox customers at the beginning and the end of the month. As a result, we hit the best singles result we’ve ever had. Compared to March last year, we’ve almost tripled our revenue. Even without these special effects, that’s an incredible achievement — and I’m genuinely very happy about it.

I’ve probably said this before, and I’ll probably say it again: for me, selling singles is the Champions League of comic retail. It's complex in execution, from data to promotion to fulfilment, and it took us a long time to even make this segment profitable. But now, singles are a core pillar of Walt’s Comic Shop. Huge credit to the team — especially Heiko — for how well they’re executing. And yes, I’ll allow myself a small egomaniacal shoulder tap here and there for occasionally anticipating what customers actually want.

Alright. Enough prelude. Let’s talk about the top release of the month. That is clearly Daredevil #1.

And what’s wild is: it did this without even being released (on time). We had a delayed shipment, but thanks to our pre-order packs, we still sold an absurd number of copies. And now that the book has arrived, I can say that almost all other covers are already nearly sold out as well. This is a massive success for Marvel. You really have to give them credit — they’ve revolutionized the blind bag game. There was a lot of criticism, sure. But at the end of the day, this thing is an absolute hit.

I haven’t read the issue yet, but online there are basically two camps. Some say it’s a success despite the creative team. Others say the creative team, combined with TikTok momentum and very smart marketing (plus Marvel’s reach), turned yet another relaunch into a must-have book. Whatever the truth is — this thing is flying. If you want a copy, get one sooner rather than later.

At #2, we have DC/Marvel: Superman Spider-Man #1. Creatively, this might actually be the best crossover so far, and sales-wise it absolutely delivered. If we ranked purely by revenue, this would be the clear #1 for the month, since it’s priced higher. These DC/Marvel crossovers continue to generate very strong sales, driven by a mix of huge variant counts and genuine reader interest. And it’s safe to assume both publishers will keep pushing this.

After that, we’re back to familiar territory:
Absolute Batman #18 and Batman #7. Unless there’s a major launch or special project, these are your default top sellers. Absolute Batman continues to widen its lead in our subscription lists, and honestly, I’m running out of superlatives to describe this phenomenon.

What also stands out: Invincible. We have two Invincible-related books in the Top 10 Marvel Team-Up #14 and the Invincible Foil Edition #1. March — and now April as well — is very much Invincible season for us. You can see it across the shop, especially in our bestseller charts. This series-turned-animation-turned-sales-juggernaut is pulling in a wave of new customers into comics. We’re doing everything we can to convert them into regular readers, while Robert Kirkman is doing his part by giving them just enough extra incentives to stick around.

Then, between ranks 7 and 12, we get the first wave of DC’s Next Level initiative: Lobo #1, Batwoman #1, and Deathstroke: The Terminator #1 and they all performed very well. Strong creative teams, very readable books, we’re extremely happy with how these launched.

Looking at the rest of the chart, it’s a mix of ongoing Absolute strength, some Marvel titles — especially Amazing Spider-Man, which continues to build momentum issue by issue — and a few notable standouts. At #11, we have a strong X-Men launch with X-Men United #1. Dorc #2 at #28 shows that the series is not a one-hit wonder. Absolute Batman #1, across all its printings, is still collecting sales at #29.

And at #48, old man Frank Miller climbs back into the charts with The Dark Knight Returns #2 facsimile edition.

All in all: A very strong month for single issues, and an extremely strong month for us in terms of revenue. And as always, we’re extremely pumped and excited about what’s coming next.

Chart Explanation

This chart tracks single-issue comic sales at Walt’s Comic Shop for each month (from 9th of the previous month to 8th of the current one), allowing most pullbox pre-orders to be included.

Variants: All cover variants and printings of the same issue are combined into one entry.

CGC: Only CGC pre-orders are counted. Regular slab sales are excluded.

Baseline: The monthly Batman series (the regular one) always serves as the 100% benchmark. Percentages show revenue relative to that issue.

Ranking: Titles are ranked by units sold. If two titles sell the same number of copies, revenue determines the higher position.
