Yup. December 31 is the last day of Walt’s… in its current form.
But you know the saying: “The king is dead. And hello to the new EMPEROR!!”
For us, this Black Friday really is the end of an era. The company needs to “go”. Not what you think; just boring legal BS (new entity, everything continues, your pre-orders are safe, yadda yadda).
BUT there is one very big consequence:
our vast stock.
My accountant hates how much stuff I’ve hoarded and now wants me to hand it… to you. 😨

Look, if I would have listened to my accountant in the past... well, we would have been more profitable, sure, but also: Less crazy-full-warehousey.
But this time he has a point. Which means, you'll get more than I'm confortable to sell off. Honestly, I think Braveheart would’ve surrendered...
So, yeah, I did adjust some prices ahead of BF... but in your favor! For example, I've re-priced some books from the bargain bins to our recently discounted regular store-prices, so that they can be slashed 50% during BF. Definitely 20-40% cheaper in the end compared to the bargain bin price. And sometimes I did not even change the bargain price, and we'll still add a 50% on top. Did I wake up your appetite?

We know you need some Big Carbs first, so we'll start with our classic: The Big Books Buy2Get1 Sale. But in a larger-than-ever-fashion: Ca 400 Omnis, Absolutes, Artist Editions (!) and, for the first time, dozens of OOP books (!!!). B2G1 means: Add three to cart, the cheapest one is free. And for our recently re-priced Omnis, this could look like this:
3 x 100$ Omnis for 157.98 (free shipping incl. for most EU). Or 3 x 125$ Omnis for 189.98 (shipping incl. for most EU). And so on, I think you get the idea. As long as quantities last, obviously.

Just when you think you can breathe a sigh of relief, this Graphic Novel sale will pull you back in: straight 50% of shop price for many hundred books. Like, for certain super-popular 50$ oversized hardcovers from Image, you'll land at 20.50€. Some items from the bargain bins will be double discounted and be slayed with a 80-90% discount. A brutal, all-you-can-eat massacre.

Helpful to know
All sales start at ca 11.00 Berlin time each day and continue from the day they start until Sunday, 30 (except the one starting Friday, 21.11., which starts whenever we get the pre-orders live and will only last for that weekend.)
This year we're operating at almost double capacity in the fulfilment department compared to last year, so we have high hopes that we'll be able to ship everything within one week from order, ideally even faster. We only sell instocks, so no waiting time on restocks.
This, as they say, is the theoretical part. Let's see how it will play out in the real world!

So, we have a new super-exciting exclusive to announce very soon (I'd hoped in this newsletter, but DC still has to approve the cover... oops! spoiler!).
After the chiplegendary event last month and our 5Y anniversary one, we really got a taste for it and are already prepping another one (in the 5 Year style) for late winter (ca February). It's the, ehm, Walt's Winter Fest? We all know that we'll need a special treat after so many months of vitamin D depravation!
