Have you ever read a manga where you thought, "Wow, I wish The Joker was my actual father"? No? Well, if you read "Joker: One Operation Joker," you might just find yourself thinking that.
So, what's the story all about?
In this unexpected turn of events, Batman inadvertently transforms into a baby after (spoiler), and The Joker, being the only person you'd expect to do something like this, decides to take on the role of raising him to become the ultimate (spoiler).
It's a long-term game plan that's bound to span around 18 years. The Joker, it turns out, has an impressive amount of patience.
This manga is not only hilarious but also heartwarming. The Joker, whose real name is Jack Oswald White as I've learned, faces the same challenges that real-life parents do (or at least, that's what I gather from listening to my colleagues' complaints).
He struggles to find a daycare, deals with neighbors complaining about Baby Batman's cries (which he ironically nicknames as [spoiler]), and doesn't even have enough time to properly put on his makeup!
As I read through it, I couldn't help but think that this manga, featuring a DC character, actually portrays situations that might be relatable to some young parents out there.
