Superman/Spider-Man is out on the shelves (and soon in your homes, pull-listers!)
It’s so fun, I can't wait for you to read and enjoy Jorge Jiménez’s art.
Jorge even suited up as Spider-Man to celebrate.

Ok, Jorge. This is an intervention.
It should be illegal to not only be considered the definitive artist for Batman for the decade, but also give us the best Peter Parker in a decade...
AND on top of that, you look this good as Spidey. You will be hearing from my lawyers. (And everyone’s boyfriend, I guess.)
Another comic-book creator picture making the rounds is this one:

Yes, Charles Soule, Frank Miller, Stephanie Phillips, Chip Zdarsky, and Ann Nocenti at the Daredevil: Born Again season 2 premiere party.
You guys are simply too much, my family. Like, I’m sorry. Uncle Frank, Auntie Ann, bro Chip. (I talked with Chip once, ok?*)
*as you heard me brag a thousand times.
Batman / Wonder Woman: Truth #1
While we wait for Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee to conclude H2sh, Loeb collects another Jim for his Pokédex in this “From the world of Hush”-labeled spinoff.
I literally JUST finished reading the first issue. And... don’t sleep on this.
It starts with a homage to Loeb’s own 2003 Superman/Batman. Those were the days! (I was 7.) But truly, I love that series.
I’m just gonna name some of the other books it reminds me of, so if you dig them, and of course you do, give this a chance.
The first one is the recent Absolute Batman and Absolute Wonder Woman crossover, which I personally think is DC’s best single issue of the decade, so I'm taking one more opportunity to remind you. Diana and Bruce, to me, are an even better pair than Superman and Batman. There, I said it.
The second one is The Hiketeia by Greg Rucka and J.G. Jones. Not quite that good, but aiming somewhat in that zone. Oh boy, isn’t that Rucka Wonder Woman omnibus the best financial decision you can make in your life?
And I’m also throwing Batman by Tom King in here. Catwoman plays a big role in the issue, and if you liked the Selina/Bruce writing in that book, and I’m still shocked some people don’t, you are probably going to like this as well.
And of course Jim Cheung is gonna give you your buck’s worth in art, including the classic Superman/Batman spread page at the beginning.
Frame it. Hang it. (Ask for the page’s hand in marriage.)

Eightball #1 Facsimile Edition 2026
Eightball not only revolutionized the comics industry, but it also revolutionized most comic readers’ teenage years. (Poor moms everywhere.)
So I think this facsimile is a must.
Let me hit you with a little excerpt from my Beyond the Panels article on Daniel Clowes last year:
The early issues are a spiky, acidic stew of underground comix energy mixed with post-Reagan, pre-internet disaffection. It's raw, punk, and soaked in references to ’90s pop culture America. Funny, for sure, but not funny just to be funny. As the series progressed, Clowes’ storytelling became tighter, colder, and more psychologically intense. You can see his transformation from a snarky alt-comix guy into a precise dissector of American alienation.
Sorry for hitting you with a copy-paste, but I truly don’t feel I can describe Eightball better than that.
Go read that article, by the way. It’s my favorite thing I wrote for Walt’s. Meaning, it’s my favorite thing I’ve written ever.

Eightball #1 Facsimile Edition 2026
I’m a sucker for Bad Ideas.
In more than one way.
They have me in a chokehold that is kind of evolving into something sadistic.
The Oddball's Odyssey #1 one-shot comes from multi-award winner Tony Millionaire. This looks like a trippy journey into art, sobriety, and love. Just gorgeous-looking.
And it’s worth pointing out that they are doing Old Masters homage covers to Little Nemo, Tintin, Popeye, and Mickey. Just look at those! It makes me cry!!! (God, I love comics so much.)

Check everything out on pre-order here:
Something Is Killing the Children is starting a new arc, and Innards from Ignition Press looks like a sci-fi horror mystery so made for me that Ignition Press has put me in yet another chokehold. (Is that a pattern I should be bringing up with my therapist?)
Our pre-orders run until Saturday at 4 p.m., and you can email Heiko here if you have any questions about how to deal with Manage Comics. (Not making a joke about Heiko this week because I’m actually worried people are taking me seriously on those.)
See you,
Math
