CGC / CBCS Grading

CGC Submission

Yes, we now offer CGC grading — and we’ve made it as simple (and fair) as possible. You can request grading for any book in our webshop or a confirmed pre-order. Two options:

  1. 9.8 or Nothing
    We only slab the book if CGC confirms a 9.8 via pre-screen. If not, you’re not charged (or get a full refund if you prepaid).

  2. Classic Submission
    We select a top copy and submit it regardless — even if it comes back a tiny bit lower (9.4 or better).

How to Request CGC
Send an email to Heiko with this subject format:
CGC 9.8 Guarantee | Webshop | Absolute Batman #9 Cover C Tirso
Include grade type (9.8 Guarantee or Classic), source (Webshop or Pre-Order), and exact title.

A few things to note:
– Only request CGC after your pre-order is confirmed (unless it’s a Pullbox subscription).
– No send-ins: we only grade books from our own stock.
– Prices are based on your sub level and apply only to regular-sized comics.
– We may ask for pre-payment if you’re new or at Sub Level 1.
– Don’t try to game the system — consistency matters. Subbing 76 series once and asking for VIP pricing won’t cut it. 😄

Send-Ins

Walt's Comic Shop does not submit pre-owned books for on your behalf. But we collaborate with a partner for those interested in having their cherished Single Issue gems graded by either CGC or CBCS. To obtain further information, please reach out to us with the subject line "Grading Submision" and we will promptly provide you with the necessary details.
