August is heating up
August is absolutely bloody stacked release wise! Reprints of the first Invincible Iron Man Omnibus, Secret Warriors AND a new edition of Alan Moore's seminal V For Vendetta (in Absolute format) <deep breath> as well as new Spider-Gwen and Miles Morales Omnis for all you Spider-Verse fans. And since August comes early this year, some of those releases are already available at you fav Comics retailer!
Elsewhere we are finally getting the Batman/Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Omnibus and a massive looking collection of Peter J. Tomasi and Patrick Gleason's super underrated Green Lantern Corp run. But what I'm most excited about is the release of the superb looking Immortal Hulk by Al Ewing, a book which I keep harping on about to everyone at Walt's and just about anyone else who is pretending to listen... can't wait to finally see this fantastic story collected in one massive volume!

What's new at Walt's
Holy guacamole I hope you have enough space on your shelves for some books because August hasn't even started and we already have some amazing looking books that just arrived.
Yes hello Jonathan Hickman I see your long out-of-print Secret Warriors omnibus. This is some of his earliest work at Marvel so I'm looking forward to getting my teeth into some twisty-turvy spy s***!
Just in time for the new Turtles movie we've got them teaming up with Bruce Wayne aka BATMAN! Art looks amazing and James Tynion is pretty much one of the hottest comic writers around currently. Cowabunga, indeed.
Errr excuse me this cover is gorgeous! If there isn't an Eisner Award for best Omnibus cover then there should be and this would be the winner. Inhyuk Lee we salute you!
Batman vs. Green Lantern
Well, kinda... if you're a Peter J. Tomasi fan then August is the month for you because two massive (Twomassive?) collections are being released - Detective Comics and Green Lantern Corps. BEHOLD!
I haven't actually read his work on Detective Comics but his run on Green Lantern Corps (with his regular partner in crime - Patrick Gleason) is just fantastic and in my opinion better than Geoff Johns' main Green Lantern storyline #controversial I also think that this might be DC's biggest book to date page wise (correct me if I'm wrong) and I'm so happy that they're back in the big books game after somewhat of a dry spell over the last couple of years. Both books are available on our website and I cannot wait to have a good look at both of them next month.
