Bonjour, je suis Bart et Lisa, et aujourd'hui vous présentes la bd Elles- wait a minute. A French comic? Are we bringing a bit of European culture into Walt's? Yes, that's right! Because this week, I'll talk about a comic from French writer Kid Tousssaint and artist Aveline Stokart - Elles.
What is Elles about? Actually, it's your typical story about a new mysterious girl who comes to your school. The boys and girls want to date her, the queen bees are afraid of her, and she is so cool and nice that she makes friends super fast. There is love, drama, and fights.
With time, we learn that Elle has a secret. A pretty important one. So important that she had to change schools because of it. Just when you thought that everything would be fine, baam! There is a huuuuuuuuuuuge cliffhanger, and alas, there is so much more to Elle's story than she could have imagined.
I appreciated Aveline Stokart's style, which is unique (at least for me). The story is not that deep, it has a fast pace, and it will keep you entertained. You'll want to know what happens next.
