Wake me up when September ends...

If you're reading this then you probably might already have received some of last months excellent omnibuses in the mail, packed my yours truly (or one of the other excellent looking human beans in the fulfillment department) but in case you haven't then here is a quick glance at some big books that arrived in our shop over the last few weeks.

If you're reading this then you probably might already have received some of last months excellent omnibuses in the mail, packed my yours truly (or one of the other excellent looking human beans in the fulfillment department) but in case you haven't then here is a quick glance at some big books that arrived in our shop over the last few weeks.

But don't worry Marvel fans we also received an almost disgusting amount of new books including the fifth volume of Avengersthe second Phoenix book and a collection of Peter David's Maestro, which will make a very good companion to his main run on Incredible Hulk. And of course we can't forget about the newest Wolverine Omnibus (which is the one where Magneto pulls out his adamantium skeleton - OUCH!)

B is for Bundles

ICYMI we have a neat little money saver for the more discerning omni customer - BUNDLE DEALS! Complete series collected in omnibus or hardcover format which works out around an extra five euro saving per book $$$ From some Geoff Johns' classics to the first five volumes of Marvel's Avengers (including the newly released fifth book) you can purchase these and many other cool bundles via the promotions button on our website. What other bundles would you like to see in the future?

Gotta catch em all!

You know how the story goes - Customer meets omnibus, customer forgets to pre-order omnibus and before you know it the world is ending and the OMNIBUS IS OUT OF PRINT 😣

Well here is a handy little list of books we think maybe, might be harder to find in the near future:

BBDM (Big Book Deals of the Month)

Every month we select a few big books that you can pre-order at an extra low, low price and October is looking pretty, pretty good - especially if you like flying superheroes and lightsabers!

The upcoming Absolute Superman By Geoff Johns & Gary Frank hardcover collects all of their work on the son of Krypton, including the excellent Braniac story and Secret Origin mini-series + seeing Gary Frank's artwork on deluxe, larger pages is a definite selling point.

I love Astro City! And finally it is getting the omnibus treatment it deserves. If you don't know what I'm talking about then you're in luck because the first volume is a whopping 33% off if you pre-order it on our website HERE and keep an eye out for one of my Big Book reviews before the end of the year.

And finally if you like Star Wars and Kieron Gillen (who doesn't?!) then Marvel have the large book for you! The Star Wars By Gillen & Pak Omnibus collects the second half of the Marvel's return to publishing Star Wars books and if you enjoyed Jason Aaron's stellar run then may the force be with you etc...

🎃🎃🎃 SHOCKTOBER 🎃🎃🎃

And finally let's take a quick sneak peak at what the future holds release wise at Walt's Comic Shop; spooky season is my favourite so we are looking forward to scaring you all with our super low prices and excellent customer service

Peter David's Genis-Vell is getting it's own omnibus this month which I've heard very good things about and Edward Brubaker's Trial of Captain America is getting a well deserved reprint.

Also coming up is the absolutely f***ing massive Hellboy Monster-Sized Monstrously Massive 1500+ page tome! And nice to see a second TMNT compendium kicking it's way onto our shelves in October.

But we've saved the best till last because probably the most anticipated big book of the month (or year for that matter) is Jason Aaron's 2nd Thor omnibus! Yes it's finally here and collects the second half of his instant classic run. The first volume is also still available and I cannot bloody wait to re-read this epic and gorgeous looking story 📚
