In fact, in the last two Spider-Man issues, despite all the fun I continued to have, skepticism spread a bit. I was (and still am a bit) unsure if Spider-Boy is a good invention.
First and foremost, I feel the same way Spider-Man does, the idea of him getting a sidekick may not be palatable to me. He cooperates, lets people help him, can also be a team player, but this Batman & Robin thing just doesn't fit here.
But with this 11th issue, this retrospective of a Spider-Boy superhero life unknown to us so far, my doubts are slowly dissolving.
As long as he doesn't stick to Peter Parker's side all the time and becomes more of an independent character, with his own adventures, his own villains and his own series (which is coming soon), I think we'll have a lot of fun with this little guy.
Otherwise, Spider-Man #11 was again everything I loved about the series when it first started, a mad action-packed superhero comic that the creators seem to be having as much fun with as we readers do.
Slott's writing was very classic, fast, funny, versatile and to my delight crowned with a visit from Daredevil.
Luciano Vecchio's and colorist Edgar Delgado's artwork is really amazing. Very detailed, very intense, energetic and infused with as much fun as Slott's writing.
Looking very much forward for what's to come with Superior Spider-Man and Spider-Boy.
