UPDATE: THE PALLETS ARE COMING IN 17.5., CHECK BACK FOR STOCK UPDATES!
4 pallets from the US and 1 from the UK are "on their way", as they say.
The UK one is one of our largest DUK orders to date. It had already arrived in the shipper's warehouse in Berlin last Friday. But then they found out that customs hadn't officially released it. Oopsie! So now it's on its way back to Cologne (!?!) When will the customs have dealt with it? "No one knows". Will the flimsy UK palette survive the stress? Hard to believe. But we try!
The US pallets (aka "this is an insane amount of stock which will hardly fit in our warehouse, so please buy off as much as you can as soon as it's in!") will "probably" arrive next week. Hey, it's just a much needed restock and actually our largest order ever, no hurry!
We have placed this one more than a month ago with our supplier. It was so large that our company was again subjected to an internal liquidity audit. After that fun part was over the stock was released, but where it is and when it will arrive can only be determined by inquiries, which in turn trigger further inquiries of our German importer, which in turn trigger further inquiries on our part, and so on and so forth.
I guess you would be surprised if the precious Omni you ordered one month ago was simply "on its way" without you being able to check it more precisely. Well, that's what we are exposed to right now, just that it's the value equivalent of about 1000 Omnis.
Why am I telling you this? Well, because friends tell each other everything! And so that you get a picture of what we have to deal with here in our daily business... Now get out the violins for poor Walt, already!!
